Spanning the river of the same name, the Kicking Horse Pedestrian Bridge is the longest freestanding timberframe bridge in Canada. Situated alongside the bridge is Spirit Square; a beautiful location near the river where in summer you can enjoy the abundant flower displays, the waterfall and water feature, and on many summer evenings you can enjoy one of the free Kicking Horse Culture concerts.

Nestled at the north end of the Columbia Valley, between the Rocky & Purcell mountain ranges, Golden is situated adjacent to the Columbia Wetlands, the source of the largest river flowing into the Pacific Ocean in North America - the Columbia. Over recent years adventure tourism has become increasingly important to the town with the development of Kicking Horse Resort (seen top left) as well as many other activities relying on the two rivers and endless peaks that surround the town.

This aerial shot shows why Golden Golf Club is credited as one of the most scenic courses in BC. Nestled between the Purcell and Rocky Mountains, the course has spectacular views from every hole, and water coming into play as the Columbia River and Holt Creek wind their way around and through the course.
