By visiting our site and/ or purchasing something from us, you engage in our “service” and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. These Terms of Service apply to all users of the site, including without limitation users who are browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and/ or contributors of content.

Terms Of Service
Print Sales Terms Of Service
Customer Satisfaction: We want all our customers to be happy. We will do our best to make sure you are satisfied. This means that we promise you will be satisfied with the print(s) you receive. If not, we will refund you. The refund process covers the full value of the print, excluding the shipping fees, once you send us the print back (within 30 days of receiving the print). We will refund you within 24-48 working hours of receiving the returned print on your credit card.
Products: All descriptions of products or product pricing are subject to change at anytime without notice, at the sole discretion of us. We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time. We shall not be liable to you or to any third-party for any modification, price change, suspension or discontinuance of the Service.
Pricing: Prices for our products are subject to change without notice.
Orders: We reserve the right to refuse any order you place with us. We reserve the right to limit the quantities of any products or services that we offer.

Workshops & Courses Terms Of Service
Dates: On occasions dates may be changed to other advertised dates. You will be notified where necessary and offered a full refund if you cannot attend an alternative date.
Minimum Attendees: A minimum number of attendees are required for each course to run. The minimum number of people is defined in the online product for each course. If less than the minimum number of people are registered two weeks prior to the course date, then the course will be postponed. If you are registered for the course you can choose a 100% refund, you can register for an alternative date, or you can apply the amount paid towards 1:1 or group tuition.
Minors: Under 16’s will need to be accompanied by an adult. The accompanying adult will need to buy a place if they intend to participate in the education activities.
Cancellation Policy for Workshops and Classes
Best Impressions Photography appreciates that personal circumstances can change and there will be times when cancelations are inevitable. However once inside one month leading to an event we have made financial outlays that are non-redeemable. Therefore, the following conditions apply when making a cancelation:
- More than 4 weeks before the event – Full refund available, less $50 administration fee.
- 2 to 4 weeks before the event – 50% refund available
- 2 weeks or less before the event – No refund available

Weather: Workshops and classes will go ahead come rain or shine however in the unlikely situation an event can’t happen students will be notified by email before the event and a refund will be issued.
Attendance: We reserve the right to turn away or refuse entitlement to anyone who turns up or signs onto these events.
Risk: Students attend our social events at their own risk. Best Impressions Photography accepts no responsibility for loss or damage of equipment or any personal injury that may occur during the event.
Copyright: All rights reserved. No part of any course may be copied, reproduced, distributed, or transmitted in any form or by any means, including photocopying, recording, or other electronic or mechanical methods, without the prior written permission from Best Impressions Photography. You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit any portion of this site our services or courses, or access to the service or any contact on the website through which the service is provided, without express written permission by us.

Assignment Photography Terms Of Service
Herein Dave Best and/or Best Impressions Photography will be referred to as “The Photographer” and the model/subject of photography or the party employing photographic services as “The Client”.
Invoices: The Client shall pay The Photographer’s invoices within 14 days of the date of invoice. On all amounts thereafter due and unpaid there will be a 2.0% per month interest charge, accruing daily, until the amount due is paid in full, not to exceed the maximum amount permissible by law. The Client shall be solely responsible for the payment of all taxes assessed upon the estimated and billed services and expenses, and shall hold The Photographer harmless for and from any liability assessed therefore. All fees shall be paid in Canadian Funds without deduction for any applicable foreign taxes withheld at the source.
Services & Costs: Estimated amounts are only for the services and costs described in the Estimate. There will be additional charges for any additional services and costs rendered or incurred. Additional charges will be invoiced to The Client.
Cancellation, Postponement, Delay, And Additional Time: If The Client postpones or cancels services or expenditures once an agreement has been confirmed, and time committed, the full amount of The Photographer’s fees and any expenses incurred that are associated with the assignment shall be due and payable to The Photographer as a cancellation or postponement charge. The Client will be charged the full amount of the Estimate, where the Estimated services or expenditures are performed or incurred after a cancellation of postponement. The Client will be charged for any delays in performance which are not the fault of The Photographer, and as set forth in the Estimate.
Image Provision: Provision of images will be limited to a single transfer of image files by The Photographer within two weeks of the completed assignment.
All images will be provided in three digital formats:
- Low resolution JPG. Files will be resized suitable for web and email use at 1280 pixels on the long side at 72 dpi.
- Mid resolution JPG. Files will be resized suitable for web and email use at 2560 pixels on the long side at 72 dpi.
- High resolution JPG. Files will be suitable for in-house print provided at full resolution at 300 dpi
The above formats are all JPG files which should be suitable for 99% of The Client requirements. If a high resolution TIFF file is required for a large print project,
The Client should contact The Photographer with details of the required image file # and The Photographer will make the file available in high resolution TIFF format.
The cloud based storage of submitted images will be maintained for 12 months from the date of submission. During that period The Client is encouraged to download all of the files for local use, or upload them to another cloud storage solution. After that date files will be removed and further charges will be incurred for re-upload.
Artistic Style: The Client acknowledges that they have viewed examples of previous work and are satisfied with the overall style of photography that is presented. The Client understands that differences in locations, subjects and lighting allow for variations in the final outcome of the assignment. The Photographer reserves the right to artistically interpret how to photograph a scene.
Copyright & Reproductions: The Photographer owns the copyright to all images created during the Assignment. The Photographer maintains the right to make reproductions for The Client or for The Photographer’s portfolio, self-promotions, entry in photographic contests or art exhibitions, editorial use, or for display within or on the outside of the Photographer’s studio.
Upon full payment of invoices, all images provided under the assignment will be secured for unlimited, non-exclusive usage and can be used across all applications for an indefinite period. The Client cannot re-license the images to partners, 3rd party companies or other interested parties.
